Again Bikes began in May of 2023 following my (Eric) departure from a position at one of the top bike brands in the world. I had worked in bike shops for well over a decade, and in the bike industry for approaching 20 years. I wanted to get back to my passion for fixing, selling, and talking all things bike. I didn't want to have a big shop with hundreds of bikes. Rather, I wanted a small shop where I could provide a world-class experience to cycling enthusiasts. I saw an opportunity in the local market for a premier-level service shop, and an opportunity for a shop that could help cyclists indulge their passion for nice bikes without the new bike price tag. As for the name, I wanted a name that spoke to the second life of a bike. From repairs, to upgrades, to quality pre-owned bikes, it's #newbikedayAGAIN. In January of 2024, we rebranded our retail store as Local Velo. In Local Velo, I wanted a name that spoke to my commitment to the local cycling community while also celebrating the heritage of the sport. I have been part of the local cycling community for almost 4 decades, and it's been one of the most cherished experiences I've had, and continue to enjoy. Again Bikes remains our online store for quality pre-owned product, and is the licensed name of the company, while Local Velo is our dba (doing business as) name for our retail store. Welcome!
